It's a bit of an upset I know, but not so much. Congrats on a great year Sarah!

I WENT TO FLORIDA AND ALL I GOT WAS THESE LOUSY PICTURES....
My wife Anna and myself are now getting along in years and we have started the discussion of where we would like to retire. We have a wonderfully comfortable home in the suburbs of Denver, but we both agree that a warmer climate beckons in the future, all though that may not be for quite a few years yet. The story of how we originally met is a fun one, so many years ago in Tallahassee, Florida when I was a student at Florida State University and she was there visiting a friend coming over from Pensacola for the weekend, and we decided to take a trip back to the panhandle for a week to visit Anna's mom Virginia and have her daughter who would fly down from the Big Apple where we would spend time on the Gulf Coast in a beach house for the week which was so graciously rented by Virginia. I had not been back to that part of the world since the early 80's. It's still fantastic with the most amazing seafood you can find anywhere, just stop by Joe Patti's sometime to see for yourself. It was a great week. We will be back, sooner than later, and probably for good in the distant future...

I MADE IT.....
The Legend Opener. #legending
One of my bucket list items for much of my adult life was to get to age 60 healthy enough to be able to still get out there and get after it a little bit. Made it.

BASEBALL
The home opener for the Rockies was a success, and it was against the Dodgers, aand the final score was 2-1, and I rode downtown and scored a ticket for $30, and I watched Kyle Freeland who grew up in Denver pitch a wonderful game with 50,000 other Colorado baseball fans. THAT is a good day.

A DAY OF BRECKOINING
A lot of shitty news floating around out there these days. So many good people falling for one reason or another. With that in mind, there is always a place to escape the bad news for a few hours....for me, it's always been about skiing during the Colorado snowy season. I learned years ago that there really isn't much fun about suffering like a dog on my bike this time of year when I can be doing this. With that said, it took me 34 years to hit a good day a Breck, but it happened yesterday, once again proving that the best place to ski is the place that gets the snow....that was a keeper.

HONEYMOON SESSION #1.....
Corn snow at it's finest. Four days of skiing at the Canyons and Park City in Utah with my amazingly awesome wife Anna. Super cool accommodations and a BIG ski area to explore for the first time. The Canyons and Park City together are daunting in size. The place is pretty funky in many areas and challenging in others. A lot of traversing similar to Vail with super long flat run outs after 30-40 good turns of skiing. The best terrain at Canyons/Park City is accessible on foot, after substantial hiking up some fairly steep terrain. With the spring conditions it was not worth the walk to these spots. Even with ideal snow the hikes would be very long and arduous for very few turns and then another long traverse out. There is some steep lift access tree and bowl skiing which was awesome with the light cream cheese conditions. Can't say I've ever skied better corn for four straight days. I'll be back.

ANNOYING SKI VIDEO #305, NO MUSIC NEEDED. OH WAIT, MUSIC NEEDED.
Have I ever mentioned that the skiing during the week at The Legend, otherwise know as #legending, is absolutely amazing. Yeah, yeah there is a big old expansion coming into the fabled terrain of the Steep Gullies and The Beavers, which will create the biggest parking problems in ski history next to the biggest parking clusterfuck in history at Vail, but who gives a shit, because people still have to work during the week, while the lucky suckas get to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the greatest ski area on earth during the week..

I LOVE MAKING ANNOYING SKI VIDEOS...
and I don't care what you think about it.
Legending is what it is called, and it can be found with #legending. It takes me 55 minutes to drive from my home to be ON the Pali chair and Legending. When I lived in Eagle, it was over an hour to drive, boot up, pay $25 fucking dollars to park, then walk 1/4 mile to the line at the Gondola at Vail. I ski more than 95% of the people I know that live in Eagle County. #whatsthepoint

MOTORS IN BIKES, MAGNETS IN WHEELS
So how are we going to figure out this motor in the downtube
and magnet in the wheels thing at th pro and amateur level? Seems like if you
have the cash, that is a pretty simple minded way to gain that unfair advantage
and win that floor pump from the guy who has busted his ass training to get to
the same place on the podium. How do we randomly and affordably test to get rid
of the latest scourge in the long train of scourge in the world of cycling?
There is not much difference between going to the needle or mechanical
technology of mini motors to me. For those of you who are weak, insecure and
low self-esteemed pussies who continue to not want to work hard enough to get
to the top, you make me sick to my stomach. You spineless bastards (and
bitches) continue to steal from the honest, hardworking and clean riders and
have denied them the opportunity to make a living doing what they love and
respect, or to at least win a nice floor pump. Shame on all of the cheats, I hate
all of you douche bags.
See the story from 60 minutes
