Tommy Danielson thrilled the crowd with his line up in the Time Trail, which he won, but by a mere 18 seconds over a very fast Juwi Solar rider Julian Kyer. Ned Overend was back as well, a HUGE crowd favorite.

The 2012 Teva Mountain Games once again stepped it up another notch in the cycling events. Slopestyle went OFF on Friday, with Sam Pilgrim of the UK throwing down some "bigilo" for the win and the ladies. The Cross Country Mountain Bike event was sold out for the first time. The Road Bike Time Trial attracted the best pros in the region including heavy hitters from Juwi Solar, Horizon Organic/Panache and Tommy D himself. The XC Pro MTB race had a very rediculous field and JHK defended his title, Mitch Hoke continued to ride amazing being one of the "new force", and Howard Grotts, an eighteen year old from Durango was third and is a super talent for the future. Mara Abbott won the women's TT and Georgia Gould defended once again in the MTB women's open field. An amazing weekend put on by Teva and the Vail Valley Foundation once again! So fortunate to be a part of it, it's getting bigger...if you can believe that!
