JEREMY POWERS OVERCOMES DISASTER TO FINISH SECOND. 2013 COLORADO CROSS CLASSIC.

The big show came to town this weekend. If you are a cyclocross fan, it's like waking up on Christmas morning, opening up one big box, and finding all of your favorite toys and then some in, while you still have more boxes to open. Jeremy Powers has been on a ripper this season and he got the hole shot at The Rez on Saturday at the Colorado Cross Classic. In one of the first corners, he slid out just a hair and dropped his chain. Powers went from first to last place in an instant with the field charging away. Miraculously, he came back, slowly working his was through the filed. Many of the racers I spoke with after the race said it was cool to try and ride with him when he passed, even if it only last for a turn or two. This video show the mechanical that got it all started.

Here is the cleaner Vimeo version of the vij.
