IT'S CROSS VEGAS NIGHT....2012

In 2008, Interbike was rolling along it's normal self with the addition the previous year of a new Cyclocross event which was called CrossVegas. The first year in 2007 the race had huge crowds and I was fortunate to have the chance to race in the Wheelers and Dealers Industry race, and it was something special. The entire evening made the monotony of working the show for five days worth the trip. The second year of CrossVegas was huger, and there was drinking, and great racing, and we had just a little bit of fun. I also got to race the Wheelers and Dealers race in 2008 and caught the action from my first generation GoPro Helmet Cam, it was fun in it's purest form. Tonight it is renewed, and I'll be riding the Fall colored singletrack near my home in Eagle, Colorado. For the rest of you dealing with the discombobulation in Vegas this week, enjoy the race tonight, it's the highlight of the week!

Vegas is a double edged sword, and Interbike is a bit overwhelming if you have never experienced it. The show will wear your ass out if you are working it, especially if you spent two days scorching the skin off of your body at Demo Days, it's a grind, and everyone thinks the evenings are filled with the hopes of endless drinking and the hopes of meeting one of the 12 girls that are there among the 4532 guys at the show, and some people actually do some business, and then they all go home exhausted. If you get a chance to get away from the debauchery for a few hours, there is wonderful mountain biking southwest of town, rock climbing and a ton of other good shit to do, so check it out if you get the chance. Follow this link for "stuff to do in Vegas" and go rip that place a new asshole, no one will know, because what happens in Vegas everyone will know is about two minutes, trust me.
