With another foot of snow forecast for today and tonight here in Eagle County (and that's on top of the 18 inches of snow Vail Pass got Saturday), Courtney Wuwuwuwuwuzup Gregory and myself, Elgee, hit the pave yesterday for the last road ride of the season before winter kicks back in, which is now just hours away. The wind howeled for the middle 40 miles and the battle was on. Great ride on an awesome day with the crazy tailwind the last part of the ride, thankfully. coolest part of the ride was racing a freekin railroad train along the dirt on the River Road that was about ten feet from us, the Denver Zephyr, with some old drunk guy yelling out the window of the bar car egging us on. We made it about a third of a mile before we blew...
With any luck at all, we figure this is much in the tradition of the Father's Day Leadville Loop.
