BIG DAY AT PARIS-NICE, VANDERVELDE WINS STAGE 4, CONTADOR TAKES 40+ SECONDS OUT OF LEADER

Astana's Alberto Contador unleashed some fury today at Paris-Nice to take 40+ seconds out of race leader Sylvain Chavanel. Contador "went" on the final climb of the day and put the race back within his grasp after four stages.

Christian Vadervelde riding for Slipstream won the stage when he bridged to and through the lead group with about 10km to race and then held off the chase group for the victory....
