GET YOUR JUNK ON FOR THESE TWO ROXIN EVENTS...

For once I wish I still had a girlfriend in Minnesota so I had an excuse to attend this shit. Of course, I've got enough ex-girlfriends in Minnesota to probably fill the fields of both of these throw downs...we need more shit like this in Eagle, speaking of which, it's nearly time for the second annual Mike Janelle Memorial Frozen Turkey Pull at the Eagle Fairgrounds which will be held on Thansgiving morning at 9am once again. Let's do this, I'm proposing a flyer contest, you guys come up with something and I will get er posted right here on A2B. It's gonna be hard to beat these two however......

AHHHH, IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK IN THE CX WORLD...

Valmont is still quite "raw", but a blast was had by all..
I'm not really sure what to think about attempts to "manufacture" a cyclocross venue, but Valmont Park in Boulder is definitely trying to accomplish such a feet. It seems like a very cool spot for what is going on, with plans for a pumptrack, dual slalom track, slopestyle, dirt jumps and a ton of other stuff you can view here, it's a pretty cool concept park, however if you are a CX purest, you understand that cyclocross is defined by the use of natural terrain and obstacles which require the rider to dismount and negotiate before remounting the bike. But it is an interesting venue for sure, and it's got potential to host some big events. The place was VERY raw on Saturday where I decided to go flog myself a couple of times knowing I was not racing on Sunday. I did indeed have a proverbial shitpile of fun in both races as it was great to be back on the old steed CX bike again suffering with the masses, I guess we just won't know what the place is going to be like until it's finished, when I'm sure it will have awesome eye appeal as well as plenty of places for the kids to go plant themselves in the dirt properly as we all love to do on occassion.

I believe the better business proposition would be to open an orthopedic office directly across the street and become title sponsor..
With that said, the racing was top notch all day long at Valmont...
Summer's return to the front range this weekend made for some warm and dusty conditions at Valmont Bike Park, but damn it was nice to be toasty warm for a few more days... Cat 3's get rollin

Courtney Gregory wins a very close cat 3 race in Valmont, attacking on the last lap and leaving the lead group in his dust...

Lots a dirt for the big and little kids to play in at Valmont

VALMONT BIKE PARK CX SATURDAY!!

Tomorrow is the official ground breaking ceromony for the Valmont Bike Park in Boulder. What better way to celebrate it's opening than with a day of suffering racing CX! This multi million dollar project has been a while in the making and should make for some pretty custom cross racing. See you there in the AM. If I can make the start time coming down from Eagle this will be my first true CX session of the season with only CrossVegas behind me...should be a goodin. Let's find out just how over the 24 Hours of Moab we are..

UM, EXCUSE ME.....

But what moron figured this thing could hall a full grown kid off the ground to begin with? Here's how I see it...
Older brother to younger brother...
"Hey Jimmy, go hide in the box in the attic for a couple of hours and you can play with Grand Theft Auto all night if you want"
Jimmy goes and hides in box...
Older brother goes and snips the line and tells the cops Jimmy went for a spin in the giant silver muffin up to 10,000 feet. Everyone gets famous and we foot the bill for the search efforts...wonderful.

I NEED A JOB, RESUME ATTACHED, AND I'M NOT SHTTING YOU...

I will relocate anywhere that it does not snow ALL winter where I can ride a bike and write, I'm qualified to do just about anything except remove a colon or mediate peace between middle eastern interests. I'm loyale to a fault, part of the reason I'm in this current position. I enjoy "Northern Exposure" reruns and telling the twisted truth as I see it. You need me on your team. That's it.

SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME...

GREAT VIDEO OF 24 OF MOAB COURSE TECHY SECTIONS

Poached this one off of Facebook. Ergon duo pros Yuki Saito and Sondra Looney pre-ride of the 24 Hours of Moab course...really good vij.

And by the way, Josh Tostado and Eszter Horanyi won the solo titles in Moab this year. I'm not sure I'll ever get how anyone goes solo in a 24 hour race, but hats off to both of them for super crush.
