With a week long flash flood warning finally coming to a close as of today it appears, mother nature has shown that she can blow out what she wishes, when she wishes here in these parts. I-70 took the hit last week just east of Eagle, and I ran into this mud crush on my road ride yesterday just shy of the Sylvan Lake State Park building which happened a couple of days ago. Colorado is home to very steep terrain, and when some of these small draws get pummeled with a heavy isolated storm, chaos results. This pile came roaring down a draw about 10 feet wide and buried the road to Sylvan Lake six feet deep and about 300 yards long....
