FRISCO CROSS GOES OFF PERF, ALMOST.

Two days of Cyclocross this weekend went off without a hitch. Two great courses, plenty of great racing, good beeeer, and a great vibe made for a fantastic weekend in Frisco, Colorado as Scotty Bourqemansk and Tim Assure put on a super show.
As it was last year, Jake Wells (who I personally believe should have been racing in Gloucester this weekend) took both of the men's open races. This year his dominance was a statement that he is the man to beat in Colorado. Both days
J Dubs escaped early and put on a performance that left jaws dropped. Hudz-Subaru Vista took eight out of twelve of the top podium spots over the two days in the men's and women's open fields with Wells and Pacocha, Duke and Strong going podium respectively both days. Day two had a promise from Feedback sports rider Tim Allen, whyo can cook up the speed with the best of them, planning to stay with Wells as long as possible, but a flat early on lap one ended those hopes and Wells was gone from the gun. Allen is right next to Jake in this below pic from Michael Kane ( all of these are his pics but one).
Wells is off the front and gone on the paved climb, which had every rider digging deep to the top

Boulder Cyclesport's Allen Krughoff rode to a strong second on day two
Kevin Kane who raced for the USA National Mountain Bike team this year showed up on a borrowed bike to try his first CX race, he finished seventh, and stated in the below interview he had a blast and wants more, imagine that. Kevin is pictured below in the USA Nat kit.
Post race interview with the latest Cyclocross addict Kevin Kane, proudly wearing Stars and Stripes as a National Mountain Bike team member.
Wells so smooth and fast at the barriers had no one in sight behind him 2/3 of the way through the race..

Pacocha ran into mechanical issues which played a part in falling back to third on day two..he chased Wells hard for three laps before coming off the pace.
Kane with the mad MTB skills had a rock solid first CX race. He butted heads with Chuck Coyle all day for the battle for 7th place.
