The 09 season is rollin
This morning as the rain pours down in the town of Eagle I do not feel so old, and that is a beautiful thing. Seven years ago, when I lined up for my first 45+ Masters race, all the "young" guys I used to ride with all seemed to be a world away racing in their own classes on Wednesday nights. My how times have changed. Lining up last night at the start of the Eagle Classic, well, it was a bit different. Many of them were there, they have all reached the class, which in some ways sucks, because they will punish you on a race course, but in other ways it is absolutely the greatest as we all try and flog the living crap out of each other out on course then go drink beers and laugh. And it's fast, very fast. Great eve, great people. And of course what would a race be without Bagger racing with a full blown stereo with speakers in his cycling jersey. Some pics.
I felt pretty damn good and was psyched with a top ten.
Chris Cook crushed as usual
The Weather was sketch prior to the race start
And then it was game on as the season kicked off with a fury
Old and young hangin pre race, Elgee and Gorbold
I felt pretty damn good and was psyched with a top ten.
Just 30 minutes after the downpour the dust was flying
Windin it up for a pass
