Blue Sky Velo Cup 2009 was a day for the mudders like Tim Johnson who excels in the crap conditions like no other. On the women's side it was Katie Compton with a dominating performance as well as both Johnson and Compton took the first leg of their respective weekend sweeps.Funky warm skies prevailed as the snow melted quickly with temps in the 60's on Saturday at Xilinx

This was the night before the race at the course where for some reason "we" decided to go ride hot laps after mid night on the xilinx course, drinking was involved. We at least wore helmets, but I think we wore them as shoes.

Dunlap/Compton showdown was all Comtpon, but But Dunlap rode well in conditions that greatly favored Compton's technical skills and power.
Farrel and Opperman bumped heads all race long
