Katie Compton dominated from the start today en route to her 6th straight National CX Championship. KFC got the hole shot and never looked back. Meredith Miller had an amazing ride as she bested amy Dumbrowski for the second podge spot..In the mens race.
Tim Johnson took control relatively early and never looked back. This match-up was as heavily anticipated as any in the history of USA CX racing, but Johnson made the break early, it became a two man race with Trebon after they both left Powers behind after a crash, and the drama ended early, probably the least exciting race of the weekend as far as pure racing drama was concerned. Johnson rode flawless en route to his third title. Jake Wells rode an amazing race and finished 12th against the big heavies battling it out with Carl Decker for 11th spot.cx mag photo
