Below is Gary Thacker (Chipolte/Titus) of Louisville, Colorado. Gary is now your 55+ National Champion after simply dominating the field from the gun in his race on Thursday. Fred Wittwer, two time defending champion in this age group, never knew what hit him when at the top of the first climb and run-up Thacker was free and clear and continued to punish the field for the next 45 minutes. There was not a fan in the field who was not cheering for Thacker, an obvious fan favorite..Congrats, and of course, Gary was on the SQUIRT lube program which I turned him onto a few weeks ago.
And look for these two legends of the cycling game to be throwin it down in Kansas City over the next two days. Ned Overend and Travis Brown, both SQUIRT lubers plan to show and throw
Walt Axthelm of Durango, Colorado also won a National Title in the men's 70+ division on Thursday...he too was on SQUIRT! Awesome job Walt, and it was great chatting yesterday.
