STATE CX WEEKEND IS UPON US

With snow falling in the high country of Colorado this morning, it's time to get jacked for this Sunday's Colorado State Championship CX race, the final of the year for us, next stop in Colorado....CultCross 2009. This has been the longest season ever it seems, tons of Mountain Bike racing, lots of road tripping with SQUIRT Lube which is taking the world by storm, a rare road race for me, and Cyclocross racing for the ages. With States and then Nationals the following week, I'm truly looking forward to the racing, but also looking forward to giving my old decrepid body some much needed time off the bike. The past month has been a struggle of epic proportions trying to recover from "the crash" on the first day of the UCI weekend in Boulder, glad to say I'm pushing 100% again for two of the biggest races of the year after taking several weeks away from racing due to HEAVY snowfall in the mountains which required skiing to be prioritized, not that it matters much. When your goal this weekend is to finish with-in 4-5 minutes of masters legend Karl Kiester (who at 54 just kills it!), and the next weekend to NOT get lapped by Ned Overend like I did last year in Kansas City, well, you should be able to have a good time just participating and lining up against these guys. See you Saturday in Boulder, and Next week in KC, another season has somehow slipped into the books.

The course that will test you at States
